Michigan Kona Dolomite comes from Marquette County, Michigan.  It is a stromatolite (ancient blue green algae forming layers as it washed up on the shores of an ancient sea).  The patterns you see are formed by the Precambrian cyanobacteria leaving layers of calcerous material formed by limy secretions of the organisms during a number of stages of growth.  These cyanobacteria were responsible for the formation of much of the planet’s free, breathable oxygen allowing for the development of oxygen breathing organisms. When you wear this necklace you have around your neck traces of ancient life that first created the oxygen we need to live.  How cool is that?

Michigan Kona Dolomite heart multi stone focal hangs from strands of pink Kona Dolomite and copper beads.  The necklace is secured with a copper clasp and includes a 3 inch extender.
